 Cut the fabric you are going to use , and iron centre fold, both ways.(horizontal and perpendicular)

Using an old CD as a guide, cut out the circle base, leaving a good 1/4"  seam allowance around the circumference of the CD

Hoop your cut out fabric, with the ironed seam running down and across in line with the centre guides

Sew the first outline of your applique , in this case the egg

Sew the applique  fabric.

Trim and sew the decoration

Sew the next applique.

Sew the details and trim and finish the next applique

Sew the eyelet

Remove from hoop and sew the base to the longer side of your fabric. Making sure that your applique is the right side up!

Sew the side seam, fold and sew the top channel for the ribbon closure,

Et Voila!
