Christmas Bunting Help

Start with dyeing your cotton fabric,  two to three  yards, depending on the width. Drop it dry into a large saucepan with at least 8 teabags and 6-8 pints of water. Add a teaspoon of salt, this sets the colour. Boil until you are happy with the depth of colour, don't worry if it is blotchy, that makes it look more authentic!
Hoop your tea stained cotton, I prefer iron on stabilizer.

Sew the design or letter of choice for either th 4" or 7" version. Place another piece of tea dyed cotton on top of embroidered design or letter. Sew the outline of the bunting. Remove from hoop, trim around the sewn outline. Turn inside out so that the right side shows, and iron flat. OR......place the matching fabric on the back of the hoop, and trim with pinking sheers! Sew your bunting flags to red satin ribbon, and voila!
